ELECTION OF CAMEROON TO THE ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL COMMITTEE

On April 28 2010, the Cameroonian Clement Atangana was elected member of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights by the 54 members of Economic and Social Council of the United Nations for a term of four years. Three African countries were in competition (Algeria, Burkina Faso and Cameroon) to serve on this body of Economic and Social Council, for the two positions reserved for Africa.
